Re: Bunks and other stuff...
Thanks everyone, it feels so right in there. Really looks like it could’ve been done back when. I like to pretend Stanley Kubrick had an Avion commissioned and now I have it. Anyone need some French Provincial hardware? I’ve got loads including a bunch of doors and some complete drawers. If you want...

Re: Another dumb question
Interesting, I’ve never really given it much thought. I just replaced my tires on to matching wheels that I purchased and both were rated to 80 psi cold. These are aluminum wheels and I ended up going with Good Year Endurance tires. Load range E. Since I’m not at full load and I’m a sissy when it co...

Re: new spare tire
I just replaced my spare with one. The rubber looks good but is dated 2013, good enough for a spare I guess and it matches which is a plus. Are these the same wheels as yours?

Big Reveal!
Got the bunks painted and installed and also made new cabinet doors and drawer faces for most of the trailer. As I said in a previous thread, I wanted to update and brighten the interior without it feeling like a departure from its vintage. I feel like I did a fairly good job at having it be “70’s m...

Re: new spare tire
On my ‘78, it has 15” wheels with a 6-5.5” bolt pattern. In fact, I just put on a new set that matched my old set (discovered a wheel with wallowed out lug holes, couldn’t find just one wheel but found a set of four) and am putting 2 wheels up for sale. I’m keeping one as a spare and not sure what t...

Bunks and other stuff...
On Monday, we will head up to Colorado for an extended camping trip in the Avion. We needed a better sleeping situation for the the 4 of us which up until now has been: A bed extension for the rear double bed that filled in the aisle and made a queen effectively (wife, 4 yo daughter and I) and a mak...

I take it you have the two twins midship, yes?
Could you post some pictures and measurements to help you get some ideas?

Door and drawer fronts available...
Hey y’all, I’m updating a few things in the Avion before we go on an extended camping trip in a couple weeks. One thing I’m doing is making bunk beds for the kids in back where the bureau is/was across from the bed. As hard as was for me to commit to it, I cut the drawer section off to accommodate t...

Re: Salt/Pepper shakers
Wow, that’s pretty amazing!
No doubt that’s a Cayo, kudos to whoever designed it and even more to you for the eye to find it.
Good work!
