Re: Structural damage to tongue/frame due to rust
Is it rotted through or just rust bubbling the paint? If it’s rust just under the paint sand it with a heavy grit and treat the rust with a rust converter then use a red oxide primer then paint. I would use black farm equipment oil paint with hardener. Tractor supply has it. It’s about 35 bucks for ...

Re: Veneer damaged to doors.
If the doors are solid run them through a planer. Then simply put new veneer face on the doors.
A shop should be able to make those doors since they are plain with a bevel edge it’s nothing crazy.
You can always sand them fill the gouges sand again then put some veneer face or paint the doors

Ford F250 7.3L diesel ff250..jpg Ah, Yes. The 7.3 Diesel. I worked in Ford Diesel Engineering just prior to retiring. It's best years from design and performance standpoints were 2002-03. It was offered in 2003 models a few months before being phased out by the 6.0L variant in 2003-1/4. Things went...

Re: Vent Fan Rough Opening & Options
I just installed two fans replacing the old original ones. The roof is framed for a 14x14 opening. They just cut the opening smaller and radius it because the fan body is radiused itself. Once you remove the fan housing you’ll see the aluminum ribs and cross bracing. It took me about 4 hours to do b...

Re: Going belly-pan free
What I would do is use separate panels secured with Riv-nuts instead of rivets. But I would keep the belly pan. It keeps the water mud snow from rain or inclement weather off the bottom, make it so the wind doesn’t pull on everything under there and imo just no reason not to have it. Not to mention ...

Re: Roof vent fan insert
I just replaced both fans on my 31XB. I’ve been really getting in it. Fixed the storage doors also. As for the fans...the structure HAS the 14x14 braced opening. Once you remove he found flanged existing fan housing you just need to cut away the metal rounded corners to square up the opening. It too...

Re: flipping the axles
No. IFS suspensions need a kit. But there is nothing stopping you from fabricating a subframe that bolts to the existing frame to act as a spacer to lower the mounting points thus lifting the trailer.
