Re: Battery relocation

Probably the same reason you don't see propane tanks inside an RV or fuel tanks under the rear seat of a car/ truck.

Do some research, including developing an emergency exit plan if the lithium battery goes rogue.

Re: Looking for ideas/inspiration for rear bedroom redo 34W

Check out the 34X floor plan with queen bed option. It appears the partition extends roughly 2ft deeper toward the front of the cabin to satisfy the length of the bed. We have a 30-P with rear bath and 2 single beds, one on each side of a center aisle. Yes, my wife and I can't snuggle like the king ...

Re: 1972 LaGrande Exterior Lights

I replaced all the clearance flights on our '88 30-P. The holes in the shell for wiring access were sharp with no protective grommet. The pocket behind the shell was quite small. Some wiring was short in length and difficult to stuff back in place. It was not one of Avion's best design efforts. You ...

Notching around the elevator bolts means its free-floating from what's above above it and below. Yes, it might sound like a quick-and-dirty short-cut around doing it the right way...

Re: Is there a quiet water pump?

Rather than search for the elusive quiet water pump, I suggest developing a mounting system that de-couples the noise transmission through a floor as well reducing the radiated noise from the pump itself. Below is a website that describes how to construct a sound absorption for radiated noise. https...

Re: Cupboard doors

Kevin- The trailer group seems to go into hibernation after Halloween. There has been little activity here since then. If you can get the base surface smooth, I would attempt replacing the veneer. Its a lot cheaper than replacing the entire door. Try doing one door to see if you like the outcome. Th...

Re: New Member/Old Owner gutting my ‘68 Avion

Yours appears to be an interesting project. You will quickly understand that the more you learn, the less you know. Good luck on raising another Avion from the dead.
