Re: Onan Generator

I would check the exhaust routing. If there is me make sure none of the coupl8ngs leak. If there isn5 make one that routes the exhaust gasses up or out away from th3 trailer. You can even make it detachable and clamp on temp while camping. As far as I know I have never seen a Avion with a factory ge...

Re: Need a spare tire and rim...

It’s a 6x5.5. I don’t think there is really anything wrong with trailer rated tires. I just installed a new set of 6 tires and a new spare as my other tires were craxpcked and just sun damaged. . They are speed rated to 75 mph. Really like anything just keep them inflated and check them often while ...

Re: Avion tires

I bought these tires for our Avion last summer per a friend's recommendation. Wanted to share this info, as others might find it useful. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+HT&partnum=175R5WRHTBSL This is an LT (light truck) tire, for 15" wheels, with 2096#...

Re: Venting 34XB batteries

Post moved from Introductions forum. Thanks for the replies. I successfully installed a different three stage charge/converter and also installed two 120Watt panels and a Morningstar Duo controller. I removed the two 12volt marine batteries that were in the battery compartment and installed two Tro...

Re: Light switches

I looked. My outer plastic piece cracked. I’m just going to use a router and make one out of wood. Stain it and install it. The face where the switches are is metal. I did buy new lighted switches off eBay. The original ones were breaking and the little fingers tha5 hold them in place we’re breaking...

Re: 1989 Avion 34XB project

Not much progress. It's been raining cats and dogs. Got my truck stuck in my back yard because it's the consistency of oatmeal. Stupid aftermarket locking hub wouldn't lock so no 4WD

On a side note not one leak anywhere. And it's been raining a lot. Everything is dry

Re: 1989 Avion 34XB project

Unfortunately I already bought some 15 inch ST 225/75/15 Load E and new steel silver painted wheels. I contemplated going chrome on the wheels but there isn't much chrome on the trailer and silver trailer with silver wheels will look fine. I wanted to do 16s ut I dont think there is enough space. If...

Re: 1989 Avion 34XB project

I just threw out about 3/4 of a 55 gallon drum worth of expired food. Still taking stock of things that need replacing. So far Wheels. Either sandblast and powdercoat factory ones or just buy a set of new painted silver or chrome wheels. Already ordered new tires. So far Needs a major cleaning insid...
