Replacing brakes on '82 34v

Hey guys On my drive down here to TX from MN, I learned that my brakes are not the best. I confirmed that 4/6 of the trailer brakes were in working order before leaving, but I really felt like I could have used another 2. The stock brakes on my truck (1994 ram 2500 cummins) are way undersized as wel...

Re: Water system Leak

Thanks for the info, Bob. So, I just drained no more than a couple gals into the black tank before it oddly wouldn't take any more(I can see through the toilet that it is practically , and about 20 gals into buckets. I'm not very well leveled out and have quite a bit of left lean, so it makes sense ...

Re: Water system Leak

My mistake, that photo is not an XB model, but it is a 34 built in 88.

Re: Water system Leak

Hopefully you are right and this is a non-issue. I pulled some of the belly pan and was able to see that my tank configuration is different than stated in the manual. I can see that the tub drain is running forward towards the axles. Here is a photo of an 88 34xb with the floors ripped out showing t...

Re: Water system Leak

I believe that the tank was approaching full or was full when the leak started. I don't trust the tank level monitors at this point because I have not had a chance to really use the water system and verify that they are accurate. I am assuming that they don't work because everything so far has been ...

Re: Water system Leak

Its a rear bath.

I was not connected to city water when I noticed the leak and unfortunately I am not in a location where I can drain the grey water tank.

Re: Water system Leak

I don't believe so. The pressure side of the system couldn't be leaking because my pump shuts off like it should when the system is holding pressure(no leaks). Because of that, I feel like it has to be drainage. But with the tanks being at the rear it doesn't make much sense. One thought I have is t...

Hey guys, I finally made it down to Austin TX from MN with my 1982 Avion 34v to continue my restoration in warmer weather. What a drive that was with shit brakes! Not moving again until i get the my brakes (truck and trailer) dialed in. I'll be making another post to get your thoughts on that. Anywh...

Re: New Avion 34v Owner

I did crack open the water lines in various places and run the pump and lines dry before it froze. I'll pick up some rv anifreeze today. I guess I'm a bit of a newb and didn't know such a thing existed. I from here on out, I will post in the appropriate topic. I'm used to the whole "build threa...
