Re: Ordered new "operators" for windows

Not sure if the problem is one of dimensions or scale. I only have experience with my Makerbot printer and I know that different printers can print differently because a friend who has 3 of them has experienced that; it’s the reason he has 3. I guess there is also the possibility of a difference in ...

Re: Ordered new "operators" for windows

Kep, I sent you an email from within the BB via your profile with a number of questions regarding the file and included my email address. However I haven't heard back from you. 3-D files are available in a number of formats, plus I have different variations of the print. I would prefer to send the f...

Re: Ordered new "operators" for windows

Here are some photos of the window keepers.
3-D printed out of PLA and we've been using them for several years now.

Re: Ordered new "operators" for windows

Regarding the window 'flapping open' slightly when traveling, or the window simply not closing tightly enough: A previous owner had made some wooden wedges to hold the windows closed. They worked fairly well, but sometimes they fell out plus I was concerned about damage to the screen so I 3-D printe...

Re: Ordered new "operators" for windows

You and I have the same trailer and the same building philosophy, and we'll have the same window solution as soon as you show me how because short of removing the windows, which I'm loath to do, it's got me flummoxed. Good luck on the home stretch. (Taking a break from making kitchen cabinet doors t...

Re: Wood blocks?

I measured my chain and it is in fact an extra piece of the same safety chain that's attached to the tongue; same length, diameter, and hook. I also took a photo of the bracket and there is one at each wheel.

Re: Leveling made easy but not cheap.

I''m with markinalaska, at least the geek part (or maybe a little anal retentive for me). We are not truly obsessive about level, but it's always a conversation between she-who-must-be-obeyed and the driver. A conversation that I'm happy to eliminate which invariably has elements of "which side...

Re: Wood blocks?

I spoke to Chuck Cayo this afternoon and he explained that there is a bar on the frame above the axle with a slot in it. In the event of a flat tire and no spare, you can jack up the axle and remove the tire and use the chain (held in the slot) to hold the axle/hub up until you can get the tire repa...

Re: Wood blocks?

I first saw the jack bracket at the SAF rally in Elkhart in 2018. I also heard about 'wood blocks' at that time. The chain was with my trailer and I initially didn't understand why, thinking it was just a random piece of chain with a hook on one end. My understanding initially was that the chain, ja...

Wood blocks?

I understand that accessories for some of the trailers included a chain (which I have; for a dual axle when one tire is flat, ), a jack bracket (for the MORryde suspension, which I've posted about), and some wood blocks. Does anyone know what the wood blocks were for, what they looked like, what the...
