Re: A few “new” things

The owners manual states those are the indicators. 0, 1/4, or 1/2. I’ve experimented with it. Once the dipstick senses water the 0 illuminates. As the water volume increases a faint “1/4” starts to show as the “0” starts to fade. Eventually the 0 disappears as the 1/4 becomes dominate. So it goes wi...

Re: 1971 Voyageur photos

We actually purchased it a couple months back. It was in really good shape when we bought it. It pulled exceptionally well. I’ve been going over everything since we got it. The heater works great. Have had a bunch of rain in Fort Wayne this Spring and have no leaks! Filled the fresh water tank Satur...

1971 Voyageur photos

I’ve seen quite a few really nice Avion here, so I thought I’d drop a couple pictures of ours. It’s not perfect, but it is perfect for us. 47F4410C-B553-4F18-9EF4-81759C20F02F.jpeg 27BCB3B8-820B-49E6-8BD5-F9FADEC20247.jpeg 1A0C7CA5-46F1-432C-92E8-9EF31D84980F.jpeg B078FF58-43DA-4E00-B120-B7A5BF27D82...

Re: A few “new” things

Yes, my “dipstick” is removable. There are four sensors within the grooved portions of the four sides. Each one is a different length. My curiosity is 4 sensors with only 3 readings. 0, 1/4, and 1/2. I’m assuming one knows the tank is full as water pours out the overflow and our only knowledge comes...

Re: A few “new” things

Oops, I looked it up in the owners manual, which is original and came with our purchase, and found 0, 1/4, and 1/2 is all the fresh water tank registers.
Man, do I love this thing!
Enjoy the day!

A few “new” things

Yesterday I soldered a connection on the Instrument Signal Panel. Got it working! Today I installed a new water pump and got it running. However, as I filled the fresh water tank my indicator only registered up to 1/2. As water was coming out the overfill tube the indicator still said 1/2. I pulled ...

New to Avion. 1971 Voyageur

My wife and I are new owners of an Avion. We have a beautiful 1971 Voyageur and are looking forward to using it and relying on owners like you all to keep us informed on all things Avion. Yogi, as we call her, is not perfect. Nor is it 100%. We will be looking for anything, advice or material, to ke...
