Re: OK, my rant now

Avion value continues to puzzle me. When I started looking back in 2017, I was quite surprised at the difference between value (real/perceived) between Avion and Airstream. I am now the proud owner of 2 30P's; an '82 and an '84. Over the past several months, I've noticed that Avion value is increasi...

Re: Uship

I used them in June of 2018. They towed my 82 30P from North Carolina to North Texas. There were some challenges due to hurricane activity in North Carolina but other than that it went pretty much flawlessly. I know this isn't really a timely response to your inquiry but I'd certainly use them again.

Re: Rub rail/Beltline insert..... sources?

Searched high and low for an alternative to black and found it at Patio Chair Supplies. They have over 50 different colors. The mid-rub-rail takes 1.5 in vinyl strapping. It's stout so you'll have to heat it to soften it up (inexpensive heat gun from Harbor Freight; wore one out) leather gloves so y...

Choosing a Battery

I am now the very proud owner of a second P30. My first has a single Interstate 12V. My latest acquisition has 2 6V Marine batteries wired in series. Is one 'really' better than the other? I've read deep cycle batteries (marine) are preferable to the high crank power of the automotive battery. Since...

Re: Converter Swap Out

Gary, What power converter did you have before? Did it have two power wires? One for charging and one for 12v? Thank you, Tim I don't remember the model # but it was a Progressive. When I made the change, I didn't know diddly about it. Except for the wires that attached to the fuse bar, it was hard...

Got rain here today so I'll have plenty of time check it. I see another opportunity for a photo annotation.

Re: Converter Swap Out

Sorry for the delay Anyway, I snipped the hot, neutral, and ground wires from the old converter and removed it. I attached those three wires to a female 3 way plug and I use that for power to the new converter. There are two leads from the new converter and both are highlighted in the picture. I did...
