Trip Planning Software/App?
Since planning is half the fun, give me your best suggestion for trip planning software or app. I've been using the free version of Roadtrippers and now of course I've hit the limit of what it will do for free. Any other favorites I should consider before I open my wallet and buy a subscription? Tha...

Re: Our First Trip Under our Belts
She was named when we bought her. Yes, after the movie. Just inside the door, where the furnace used to be, is a reproduction of the movie poster. I promised the previous owner we wouldn’t change her name. It suits her.

Our First Trip Under our Belts
We've been tent campers for years, especially when our kids were young. I bought our first trailer last year; an Avion 19' Suntrail Sport Special named Lucy. Initially bought it to park at our weekend property for extra sleeping quarters. But when I realized what great shape it was in I just had to ...

1970 Suntrail Wiring Diagram?
I'm trouble shooting clearance light problems. Anyone have a wiring diagram? If I fail to fix this what are the legal requirements for front and rear clearance lights? My tail, signal, and brake lights work. My summer trip won't have us driving at night so I don't expect my clearance lights to ever ...

Re: Brake Controller Issues
As clarification, "And so it continues as I drive" means that the trailer is constantly being recognized and not recognized as I drive and brake.

Brake Controller Issues
I have a 2011 F150 with factory brake control. Pulling a 1970 Suntrail Sport. When I first hook up the trailer all seems fine. Display screen in the dash recognizes the trailer and displays output to the brakes as I step on them. As I start driving I get a warning chime and a message "Trailer D...

Re: 1987 34W - New Safety Chains
Once again this group has provides great information for a newbie. After installing my WD hitch I found that my safety chains were a bit short so I started thinking about replacing and upgrading them. They are bolted to the underside of the tongue. The above info and photos are useful to me in weigh...

Re: Break Away Switch
Thanks for the link Silverloaf. Given the weight of my trailer (<3000lbs) I may not be required to have one. But I guess I’ll research what it would involve to wire one in.
