Re: New tires and wheels

Very nice. How much additional suspension and brake work did you have to do?

Re: New member - Vintage Avion 1960

Welcome to the forum. We haven't seen as much forum report-out activity since Covid hit. Perhaps its just a phase that we are going through or maybe trailer re-hab enthusiasts have waned. Dexter Axle was (I believe) the primary supplier of axle and suspension parts for Avion at the production level....

Re: Two ledges in living area

We have an '88 30P with a front living room. Below the front window is a credenza. It is roughly 10-12" deep in the center, then tapers at the curve on each side. Is this what you mean by "ledge"?

Re: New owner for gutted 1979 30p in SD

Sorry I missed your post. We have an '88 30P that we restored. Ton of work done on it. Based upon the window configuration, your layout is different than ours. What is the layout for the beds and bathroom?

Re: Need help, replacing 7 blade connecter

I have a 1986 Avion 30P silver edition. I need to replace the trailer cord 7 blade. It has been spliced several times and is way short. What I need to know is if there is a junction box and if so where it is located. I do not want to just rip off the under skin of my unit to try to find it. Thanks ...

Re: Need replacement axles

Wow! That's great news. I never thought Dexter was able to do that.

The OEM rubber bushings were were originally used on 50s-60s Ford Galaxie lower control arms. I was able to get a set for four of our axles from a mom-and-pop parts store.

Re: Leaky propane pigtails

I haven't experienced any leakage at the pigtails. Then again, we haven't used our trailer for over a year. Right now, I'm using one for to my outdoor grille. The other is empty and stored.

Have you been using a propane leak detector?
