Re: New Member from Atlanta

Hello all! I am new to this board, but have had my 1977 31' LaGrande for about 10 months. What I thought was a steel of a trailer for $1000 bucks turned out to be a full gut and rebuild. Then add in a back surgery in June, I am just a little behind. I have my LaGrande stripped to the frame and insu...

Re: New 1986 Avion Owner

Hi All! I purchased a 1986 30P Silver Edition Avion back in August and have been renovating it since. It was in almost perfect condition, I am just modernizing it a bit. I'm sure I'll need some help along the way. I live in it full time in Colorado and an absolutely obsessed with it. Congratulation...

Re: I'm new here.

I'm looking at an 88model 30 foot Avion . How do I know if I'm getting a good deal? Anyone has one for sale in the 80s or 70s I'm in TX. We purchased a 1988 30P in June. My only regret was not being a part of this form before we bought it. There is power in knowledge before you buy. You are at the ...

Re: Me Too

I would have considered a tank-type water heater. But I was able to find the Atwood tankless for $700 plus shipping. Other suppliers wanted $950-$1200. We might be living in this trailer for awhile after we sell our home. We aren't sure where we are going to end up.The upgrades we are doing is to su...

Re: Me Too

I purchased an Atwood OD50 on-demand water heater. My son-in-law installed one in their '06 travel trailer and was pretty happy with it. I've read mixed reviews about its performance. Some of it has to do with minimum water flow requirements. When retrofitting, Atwood's Tech Support says to remove a...

Re: Hello from a new 1977 28ft owner!

I, too, am looking for different ideas to re-engineering the awning. The OEM awning design on our 1988 30P is pretty hokey. Before we bought it, the wind grabbed it and ripped it to shreds. The upper bracket attaching the rear arm to the roof is loose from missing a screw or two. I think its a contr...

Re: Me Too

Interesting about the CPAP. I assume you were using an inverter to get 110V out of 12V?

Also interesting about the catalytic heaters. Got any pictures and specs to share?

I'm reconstructing a 1988 30P. A tankless water heater arrived today. Have you given any thought to this?

Greetings From Royal Oak, MI

We are Bob and Ruth. We purchased a 1988 Avion trailer 5 weeks ago. It is model 30-W. It was registered with the Avion Travelcade Club as Michigan Unit 14050. Now in our late 60s, this is our 1st trailer and probably our last. Avion trailers are one-of-a kind. The design elements are truly amazing. ...
