Re: Electric heat options

I'm a little surprised at how popular space heaters are in RVs. The heating systems in our trailers are designed to provide easy efficient comfortable heat. My owner's manual says to turn on the furnace before we begin our trip, and set the thermostat just as we would at home. Not only does it keep ...

Re: Dish Rack

My wife found a dish rack at the dollar store. It's obviously not high-end, but it slips down into the sink just fine.

She bought tons of gadgets for the trailer at the dollar store. Much of it is a step down from standard duty full time home use, which is perfect for efficient RV kitchen use.

Re: Winterized..... again

We did the same thing! Took the Avion out of storage before winter was over. The weather during the first week of March was too nice to let it pass. We enjoyed three nights at Table Rock State Park just as the redbuds began to show color. A few days after we got home the temps dropped into the low 2...

Lake Of The Ozarks, Missouri

We're hitching up on Saturday so that we can hit the road as soon as church lets out on Easter Sunday. We'll plan to stay 2 or 3 nights at Lake of the Ozarks State Park. There's supposed to be a rally at the park on Lake Taneycomo in downtown Branson, but that's just a little too far for us this trip.

Re: Fellow Avioners!

It's not like we need another trailer, but a few weeks ago we saw two Argosys posing by the side of the highway. We did a quick U turn to go back for a closer look. They looked "so cute" from the highway, but all it took was a quick look in the window, and Mrs dismissed them as looking che...

Re: Fellow Avioners!

We brought our Avion home last July. Three weeks later we were on our way to Florida for a church convention. The annual convention was a main reason we wanted a trailer. Closets for a week’s worth of church clothes, a full size shower, and an adequate kitchen were minimal requirements. This isn’t a...

Fellow Avioners!

A couple years ago Mrs told me she wanted a trailer. My immediate reaction was to say it would be a classic Airstream. I want something fully depreciated so when I’m done having fun I can sell and get my money back. But following exhaustive research, I discovered the best Airstream is not an Airstre...
