Re: Our 1979 30P

We have made some changes. Ended up having to replace all the water lines and install a new toilet.

Still more to do.

Re: 19" Vent Lid (sources)

Great! Thank you Yes, I drilled mine out and replaced with stainless bolts with nylon lock nuts. I also added a little silicon sealer around plate and bolt. And I found a roll of self sticking closed cell foam weather stripping to use as a seal around and under the hood. I adhered to the metal rim o...

Re: 19" Vent Lid (sources)

I just got my replacement lid in the mail. Is anyone familiar with these rivets? They look a lot bigger. Can I just drill these out?

Re: Reese Round bar pro - Too Big?

Thanks KYAvion, I have read some posts that said too big could be really stiff and hard on the trailer, but nothing I read said how big too big was. I would imagine the larger bars would ALLOW for more weight distribution if needed, but that you don’t have to max them out. I have a 3P hitch so I’m n...

Reese Round bar pro - Too Big?

Hello,
We have a 1979 30P with a GVWR of 8540. When I was looking for a hitch the Reese has an option that was MGTW 8000, and the next one up was MGTW of 11,500 so I got the 11,500.

Now I'm wondering if its going to be too big.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

Re: 79' window glazing and roof seal

Took a stab at the window glazing today. It didn't go well. We really had difficulty getting it to seat and it actually bowed in 1 corner. We wernt using a heat gun and I'm wondering if anyone thinks that would make a significant difference. Also. The bead I ordered is slightly different, with bigge...

Does anyone have a picture of the 1979 30P bumper they can share? Or a link to where I could buy one (eventually).

Ahh the bucket and water is a better idea than me up there with a spray bottle. Thanks!
