Re: CherryMax Rivets for exterior which one to buy?
Olympic rivets will look similar to the buck rivets that are on the exterior of the trailer, but I've used CherryMax rivets in less visible places. The part number will depends on the materials you want and the diameter & grip/thickness you need. This chart is what I reference when I am ordering...

Re: 9.7 Meter Triple Axle 1979 Avion Floor Rebuilding
I am redoing the floor in my 79 8.5 Meter. If your indenting the remaining wood to lift with the shell I'd be sure to make sure all the aluminum that transitions between the belly pan and the shell is free from the wood. There are allot of staples, screws, nails, etc that attach the wood to the tran...

Re: Bellypan question
I am going through those same steps on my 79's floor replacement. Breaking out the remove tanks steps might be helpful. Some of the jobs there can be somewhat large. Like removing the toilet and flange. Allot of people have had issues just rotating that flange. I'd also measure the bay size and the ...

Re: Floor construction
Has anyone tried this https://www.huberwood.com/advantech/subflooring its relatively cheap and I can get it locally. Watching the demo https://youtu.be/xZ9wy-8_rPc looks promising and the reviews online seem good.

Giant hole in Frame, Gray Tank moved?
My frame has some rust issues in the rear driver side, particularly near the dump valve. To get everything ready for the welder I pulled the rear belly pans. I was surprised by what I saw, I was expecting the gray tank to be next to the black tank. Instead it was over the rear axles with 2 giant who...

Re: I need some guidance please!
When I had that issue I turned off each circuit breaker in the camper one at a time until the issue went away. Then I diagnosed the circuit that was causing it. For me it was the (un-insulated) ground wire for the AC touching the body. Not sure why that mattered.

Broken L-400
Does anyone have a broken L-400 they would be willing to part with. It looks like this. I am considering modeling some new parts for it and potentially producing them out of something other than pot metal as a COVID Project, Thanks!

Re: Wheel bolts
I have a 79 where I had that conversion done. I switched to Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brakes with new Dexter Drums as well. The shop was able to find lug nuts that had the correct seat/length for the original aluminium wheels. It wasn't cheap but its nice to know when I am on the road its possible to buy ...
