Re: 12 volt DC negative
Well, silly me. It appears these trailer are like an automobile with the DC negative attached to the chassis of the coach itself. This makes it easy. Also found that there are 4 fused circuits controlling the lights. I will run a separate (4)fuse block behind the converter and place the LED power su...

Re: 12 volt DC negative
I’ll look for that negative block under the battery tray. Then I will connect my wire tracer to it and see it if I can find a ground wire behind the 12volt electrical panel. Then all I have to do is slice in the LED power supply. The converter I have is very analog and works fine for incandescent li...

12 volt DC negative
In the DC 12 volt system, there has to be a negative block terminal where all the 12 volt negatives connect. Does anyone know where I can find that? I have the 33ft. model. The distribution panel is in the head. The reason I ask is I have converted my incandescent 12 volt light fixtures to LED's. Th...

Re: Black tank
Thanx for the response. Took an initial peak and thought I saw sheet metal screws with hex heads. I will lower the tongue to the ground and jack up the last axle hoping to give me better clearance.

Re: Exterior Door opener/lock
What happened was, the lock cylinder crumbled and would just spin and not open the door. No problem as I jimmy'd it with a screwdriver to get in. Someone installed a deadbolt above it, so security is not a problem. I am Toolmaker and will disassemble the Bargman lock to see if I can Frankenstein a n...

Exterior Door opener/lock
Hi everyone. The stock exterior door opener/lock has given up the ghost. It has just crumbled apart after 41 years. Does anyone have a source for that exact door mechanism?

Re: Avion 34 brakes
Thanx Paul...it is a 1979 model with the twin beds beside the head. We just got it home...no drama. I have a new pasture on the farm here to complete this week and will start assessing the work ahead of us. I will rip the vinyl up to inspect the floor condition, then take out all the warped table to...

Avion 34 brakes
I had found a few broken wires coming out the back of my brake hubs. This was on 3 out of the 6 hubs. I repaired them and mounted the new tires. My Son in law told me the electric brakes are wired in series like the old Christmas tree lights. If one is bad, they are all bad. I cannot see this as cor...
