Re: What is this?

No idea what that is and I'm on my second Avion. I would highly recommend pulling all that gray plumbing out and putting in PEX though. Three "off brand" campers I had prior to my first Avion had the same stuff, I'd tell you how many times a coupler just broke, but I lost count. Yeah it's ...

Re: finally finished

Looks great ! I also prefer this forum to FB! Almost got kicked off there the other day for saying something that was TRUE. Can't do that if your version of the truth is different from what FB wants you to believe. Anyway I have a disgusting couch and chair in my 83 34V that probably won't clean up....

Re: 30p Twin Bed Problem

Bit late to the party. I'm also considering moving the bathroom door on my 34V with Twin beds. Then just going with one bed as wide as would fit, a standard Twin mattress is pretty close to what Avion called a double. Truth be told I'd rather have a W with the bathroom in the middle and the back bed...

Re: just got a 87 34v...help!!!

Just skimming through this morning. On the water heater. When I skirted mine for Minnesota winters the gas had to go! Problem is the way they're built they are exposed to the outside temperature, that gets down to minus 40 here! I was looking into a new water heater when on here or a Facebook group ...

Re: Can I make it go?

Yeah new tires for sure. Lol It's not that big of a deal to pull the hubs and repack the bearings with new grease when you have the wheels off already. If the seller will let you do that on location? Otherwise just make sure the bearings aren't loose when it's jacked up and drive slow until you get ...

Re: leaf springs - what weight rating?

Some info from the1983 owners manual. The toe in adjustment is explained as well as how to support the axle to get the bolt out.

Re: leaf springs - what weight rating?

Those bolts aren't going to come out easy! With the nuts off can you turn the bolts? I'd put an impact on them and get them turning, while hosing them down with your favorite penetrating oil. Not uncommon to need a cutting torch for this sort of thing, mostly for heat. Propane torch won't do it. HOW...

Re: ripples and stuff

I'm not so sure that aluminium rims would reduce tire scuffs. Off the top of my head I'll call that BS, but I haven't done any reading on that particular subject. So I could be wrong. The three advantages of aluminum rims, that I know of, are lighter weight, better heat dissipation and looks. Honest...

Re: Hot water heater

Don't know if it'll help at this point, just saw this thread. On my 83 Avion the water heater is actually out of a 70s Winnebago. Same kind that's was originally in the Avion, it'd gone missing before I got it. Anyway when I skirted the thing up for winter living the water heater was an issue. The t...
